The Copper and Brass Sales Operations team has completed their move to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in South Bend, Indiana. In December of 2018, a strategic process was started to move material and processing equipment to the new location. The new building is now recognized as a premiere plate processing destination for thyssenkrupp in North America.
The AS 9100 certified facility features:
- 126,000 square feet
- improved materials flow
- precision plate saw
- capabilities of up to 12 inches for aluminum (holding a tolerance of +/- .005”)
The full equipment list of the new location includes:
- six saws
- two cutters
- contour sawing
- Kasto saw for material up to 21”
